I’m an engineer passionate about infrastructure and systems design. I have a BS in Electrical Engineering and my early career was focused on automating factory systems, where I did end-to-end design and implementation of control systems: power, control, wiring, and programming. Since then, however, I’ve transitioned to IT infrastructure systems. I enjoy diving deep into how infrastructure technology works in order to provide a rock-solid experience for the people and systems that use the lower layers of the infrastructure. I’ve spent a lot of time working with fundamental technology like proxies and DNS, as well as cloud-native technology like Kubernetes and Linkerd (to name a few). I still have a passion for physical hardware, though, so I like to tinker with my home lab, 3D printer, and other electronics.
